The general session
is always popular and covers starting and developing a tutorial practice.

The Independent Safeguarding Authority
is a new body with advantages for independent private tutors.
There will be a concise presentation on the ISA especially with respect to the protection of children and it is envisaged as a discussion area including the ways in which tutor.co.uk may be used to support
independent private tutors.
The use of tutor.co.uk for tutors
will be a wider discussion about developing general information for independent private tutors and ways to assist communication between tutors.
Probably 40% of tutoring is Maths
and it is intended that there will be a session for specialist and non-specialist maths tutors.
The Secretary of The Association of Tutors is the editor of
maths.com
and there are many ideas
as to how maths.com
can provide instructional materials
for tutors to use in tutorials
and/or for tutors to prescribe
to students for practice.
